Booking a lesson

  • 1. Dial 212-989-8572 and press Extension 1 to make court reservation.
  • 2. If you are a new player to Midtown Tennis, you must provide your  information over the phone to our reservation desk.

There is a 48 hour cancellation policy on all private lesson reservations.
Late cancellations will be charged in full.

ALL RATES ARE FOR ONE PERSON WITH ONE PRO.

Meet The Pros

Basil Thompson

Basil has been teaching tennis at Midtown for more than 20 years. Basil was raised in Montego Bay where he taught alongside Harry Hopman and Don Budge. He was the director of the All-American Sports Camp in Vermont before arriving in New York. Additionally, Basil is our stringer and can answer all your questions about racquet restringing or regripping!

Hayden Ashton

Hayden is a USPTA Certified Professional who has been teaching at Midtown for many years. Hayden was the national junior and senior champion in Grenada and Windward Islands. He was also the Windward Islands national junior coach. Hayden teaches the Stroke of the Week Clinics on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season.

Miguel Astorga

Miguel Astorga is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional from Santiago, Chile and has been at Midtown since 2006. Miquel specializes in junior development and all levels of adults. Miguel has accumulated teaching and professional experience as an instructor for various ATP resorts in Mexico, Cuba and the Bahamas.

Paul Rose

Paul began his tennis career in Montego Bay, Jamaica where he was appointed to head the western region junior tennis program. Paul is certified by both the International Tennis Federation and the International Olympic Committee.
Paul looks forward to another successful season with his juniors and adults.

Jarett Cascino

Jarette is a Minnesota native, with success as a Junior in the Northern Section, winning two Minnesota State Doubles Championships and finishing his high school career as the Minnesota State Singles Champion. He went on to play Division 1 Men's Tennis at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and was also the Assistant Tennis Coach. Jarett is a USPTA certified professional and has coached tennis in Minnesota, Wisconsin, the International Tennis Academy in Florida, and was the Head Tennis Professional at the Deal Casino in Deal, NJ.

Tyler Dorn

Tyler joined Midtown in 2010 and enjoys improving the games of players of all ages and levels. He is a USPTA certified tennis professional and has been playing and teaching tennis in Wisconsin, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. Tyler was a nationally ranked junior and achieved All State Singles Champion in Wisconsin for three consecutive years. He also played Division 1 tennis at the University of Wisconsin as # 1 singles where he achieved All Conference twice.

Matthew Clegg

Matt hails from Wisconsin where he was nationally ranked in the top 100 in the boy's 18s. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he played Division 1 Tennis. While at Green Bay he played number one for the team and captained his senior year. Matthew also achieved all conference honors. Matt wants to create a fun environment for all ages and levels and improve fundamentals, strokes and strategies. Matthew is also certified by the Professional Tennis Registry.
